The first step in your Invisalign journey is an initial consultation with Dr. Sara Saremi. She has undergone advanced training to gain her certification in Invisalign, so she knows exactly what to look for in a great candidate.
After conducting a thorough oral examination and taking X-rays, Dr. Saremi will discuss what type of results you could expect to achieve through Invisalign treatment and will draw up a customized timeline for you so you know what to expect throughout the process.
In order to craft your aligners, Dr. Saremi will capture impressions of your mouth and send them off to the Invisalign laboratory. Once we receive your trays, we’ll call you back in to show you how to use and maintain them. You’ll need to wear each set of aligners for 22 hours each day for about two weeks before you advance to your next pair. Every six to eight weeks, we’ll call you in for a short visit, where we’ll examine the progress you’ve made throughout the treatment and supply you with your new sets of trays.
Towards the end of your treatment, we’ll discuss retainer options with you. These will keep your aligned teeth from gradually shifting back into their original positions, undoing the hard work you’ve put into straightening them.
